1992 TVR 290 V8-S in outstanding condition, 39,000 miles & one of just 13 on the road

TVR found themselves with a gap to fill, the Chimera and Griffith were in development but they’d stopped producing the Tamsin based wedge SE’s in 1991. Cue the outstanding V8-S; taking the excellent S-Series roadster and installing a bulletproof and beautifully tuned Rover 4.0 litre V8 they gave us one of the best handling, best sounding and rarest British Sports Cars of its time (in our opinion), doing pretty much exactly what Peter Wheeler did when creating the legendary TVR 350i back in 1983.
Production lasted for just 3 years, with around 400 cars leaving the factory and the DVLA report just 13 currently on the road with a further 39 on SORN.
Not only is it extremely rare, this example is in truly outstanding condition; inside, outside and underneath (just look at those photos) and if that wasn’t enough it has a wonderful and comprehensive history file.
Finished in Storm Grey Metallic over Magnolia hide it benefits from:

Recently serviced and MOT’d until April 2026, its on the key and ready to go.
