2001 Cadillac Seville STS V8 – rare UK supplied RHD

GM decided they wanted a slice of the European luxury market and with a grand plan to take on Mercedes & BMW et al launched the Seville STS V8, their strategy was simple, sell a better car at the same price as the competitors. With that in mind they threw the kitchen sink at the STS; the resulting ‘luxury specification’ was vastly better than the European rivals, add to this GM’s much applauded 305 bhp 4.6 litre Northstar V8 powerhouse of an engine and it should have been a huge success. It wasn’t, and just 649 were sold across Europe, with only a small percentage UK supplied RHD’s. A result that we think doesn’t fairly reflect what great cars these are, as a growing number of collectors and aficionados are starting to shout about.
The result of low sales back then make these a really interesting proposition 25 years later…with just 51 left on the UK roads they are a rare, highly luxurious, modern classic with the revered Northstar V8 powerhouse and just a hint of slightly sinister Soprano’s cool.
The spec is basically everything, and by that I mean electric everything…. highly luxurious leather and electric everything; when GM go out to impress they don’t cut corners & having pressed every button I can find can confirm all is working as it should.
Finished in light gold over cream, it presents well all round with minor age related marks and signs of wear that you’d expect and it drives superbly, having just covered 100 delivery miles.
The original leather Cadillac bookpack is complete with the Owners Manual, Customer Quick Guide, Service Booklet and Pre-Delivery Inspection & Warranty Booklet.
It’s covered 100,500 miles with latest service record at 95,911 and an MOT to April 2026.

• New tyres
• Rear Brake discs & pads
• Top up brake fluid
• New drop links – front
• Sill repairs – remove corrosion and replace with new metal
• Refit sill covers with genuine clips
• All fluids checked and topped up as required

This is an awful lot of power and luxury for the money, GM made no compromises when they designed these and it shows, with most owners reluctant to part with the few in the UK they rarely come to market and we think they are still vastly undervalued.
