Description
Coachbuilt in England by Coachcraft of London.
Right hand drive, reputed to be the only one in existence.
Absolutely stunning and a wonderful reminder of The Great Gatsby era. This model, in October 1936, averaged 87.68 miles per hour for 24 hours over Bonneville Salt Flats.
In the advertising at the time, Sir Malcolm Campbell stated that this car was ‘a really great engineering achievement’.
4.2 litre straight eight flathead engine coupled to 3 speed floor change gearbox.
Finished in deep maroon with black wings & running boards, red coachlines and a waterfall grill, sunroof, opening front screen, twin trumpet horns and period spotlights.
Twin side mounted spare wheels, in covers. Sitting on 19″ wheels with white wall tyres.
The boot opens in two sections with some lovely art deco chrome fittings.
The interior is in a wonderful unmarked red leather. Beautiful dashboard and instruments.
The car has had a complete and utter restoration and is as clean underneath as it is on top. In my opinion the restoration for this car will have exceeded the price we are asking.
A true grand touring vehicle from one of the best era’s in American automobile history.
This car cannot be overdescribed and would be a very serious contender for a place in any concourse competition.
