With a super smooth automatic gearbox, power-steering & disc brakes – all factory fitted as optional extra’s, this is the best driving Mustang we’ve ever had, coping perfectly well in modern traffic and turning heads wherever we go. Mechanically well sorted with new gaskets and carbs set up properley, we can balance a pound coin on the carb while it runs (with the video to prove it) and an unusually good history file shows this is a correctly & regularly maintained car. The interior is in great shape, and the bodywork presents straight with good panel fit, a recent paint refresh has tidied the paint up with some age related patina left in situ.
A splitter & spoiler have been removed but are supplied with the car and colour coded gromits fitted to boot for easy addition/removal of the spoiler.
Unusually, this car was supplied to the UK in 1969 and has retained a super file, including a DVLA supplied list of owners, Owners Manual, Workshop Manual, a collection of invoices/receipts going back to the ‘90s and MOT Certs/records going back to 1983; all supporting the odometer reading of 92,565.
The ‘69s are a rare sight in the UK…restyled to “add more heft to the body” they were longer & wider with new designs such as quad headlamps placed both inside and outside the grille opening. The corralled grille pony was replaced with the pony and tribars logo with convex rather than concave side panels. So whilst the earlier cars are relatively easy to find, these are very rare indeed.
