1990 Lotus Elan M100 – one of only 129 non-turbo models ever built – a superb drive!

Lotus built only 3,855 Series 1 Elans with just 129 non-turbo/naturally aspirated models ever produced. – applauded from the start as one of the finest front driving chassis ever built, and with the fantastic & reliable Japanese engine fettled by Lotus, it was a different proposition to earlier Lotus’s. Critically acclaimed as a very capable drivers car it has consistently received rave reviews from the press and owners alike as one of the best British sports cars ever built.

With so few built, and owners that generally keep hold of them, this is a rare find indeed – with just 4 previous owners from new.

The car has retained its original handbook with 11 stamps in the service book up to 69,278, miles as well as the original anti-corrosion warranty booklet from supplying dealer The Christie Carriage Company.

Finished in Silver, with black leather/grey stripe cloth interior, and riding on Michelin Pilots it presents well all around with some minor areas for improvement, the paint could be tidied up in 3 or 4 minor areas and one of the plastic covers under the roof stowage area is split; although perfectly presentable and very useable as it is.

Recently taken to a specialist classic car garage and give a check over, it has been subject to the following recent works:
