1992 VW Scirocco 1.8 MK2 – great useable example of one of the last of the Mk2’s

Registered in April 1992, this is one of the last of the line of the brilliant MK2 Scirocco’s (and haven’t they aged well for a 30 year old car?).

Finished in metallic blue with blue/grey interior it’s in good condition all round – bodywork is straight and solid with just a few age related imperfections and the boot floor and engine bay present pleasingly well. There is a tear to the drivers seat and wear to the bolster as well as the usual small dash crack (please see photo’s) but the interior is still in great condition for a 30 year old car.

The mileage is showing as 129,879 miles, averaging a very respectable 4,320 per year, and the MOT history in place is consistent with this.

The file includes the Owners Manual, MOT history/certificates from 1999 and service & maintenance history dating back to 2002, including the most recent service including work to brakes and water pump in 2019 and timing belt/tensioner in 2018 at 128,428 miles.

Its on the button & ready to go as it is or has scope as a light project to be brought upto mint condition, the choke and carb need some fettling but it idles well once warm, and drives well. I think this is a great useable & practical classic car that would happily serve as a daily driver or be a fantastic second car for classic car meets.
