Description
This Impreza WRX STI is a presentable and very usable example of Subaru’s rally-bred modern classic in versatile Wagon guise.
It is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre flat-four, sending around 260hp to all four wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
The Impreza benefits from a fresh service at specialist Alan Crossley Motorsport Engineering which included the fitment of a new timing belt, brake discs and brake pads.
Manufactured in 1996, the Subaru was originally registered in Japan, but was later exported to the UK and registered with the DVLA in November 2007.
The odometer shows 106,907 Km (66,428 miles).
EQUIPMENT AND FEATURES
The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Wagon is finished in the timeless combination of silver, over a black and grey cloth interior. The front sport seats feature red contrast stitching and highlight panels, and grey Alcantara centres with 555 Subaru motifs.
It rides on 16-inch gold alloy wheels, shod with Toyo Proxes CF2 tyres.
Equipment includes a leather-trimmed Nardi airbag steering wheel, air conditioning, an Alpine CD radio, rear wiper, and electric windows.
This car is also fitted with a weighted alloy gear knob, removable window surround mounted wind deflectors, rear privacy tinted windows, Apexi boost gauge, Blitz turbo timer, Fujitsubo stainless exhaust (original included in sale), HKS ‘mushroom’ filter and blow-off valve, performance clutch, and short shift kit.
The Subaru Impreza WRX STI Wagon is accompanied by its importation paperwork, owner’s pack, and a collection of UK service and maintenance invoices.
SERVICE HISTORY
The most recent MOT test was on 10 November 2023 which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories & the most recent maintenance was a service at specialist Alan Crossley Motorsport Engineering at 65,900 miles in January 2024. All required works were identified and attended to, including new timing belt, brake discs and brake pads. The car was also timed up properly and is now ready to enjoy.
The car had new spark plugs and an oil filter change in 2021.
A new performance clutch and short shift kit were fitted and the transmission fluid changed at 59,700 miles by Nigel Holden Motor Engineering in 2019 and in 2016 specialist Cotton Competition carried out works including fitting a new oil pump and exhaust gaskets.
SUMMARY
This Impreza WRX STI is a smart example of the rally-bred modern classic in lesser-seen and practical Wagon guise. Benefiting from a fresh service that included a new timing belt, brake discs and brake pads, it is ready to be enjoyed by the next owner. Equally happy on the school run as it is on a B-road blast, the Subaru is a genuinely quick, capable, and versatile performance car.
