1997 Citroen Saxo VTR – Rare Phase I Pocket Rocket- The next classic French Hot Hatch

We love a hothatch – proper little drivers cars that are hilarious at 50 mph, and this pocket rocket ticks a lot of boxes. With a bombproof 1.6 VTR engine delivering 90 bhp and a snappy 5 speed manual gearbox its got more than enough ‘go’ to have a lot of fun, but its not going to get you into trouble (well, not too much). To add to its charm, it’s not been ‘got at’ or modified at all, a lovely unmolested example that even has the complete and original parcel shelf – no speaker shaped holes here thank you very much. The interior is in superb condition and whilst it has the original paint, there is some laquer peel and areas where the paint would benefit from tidying up, we estimate that £500-800 would have this car completely mint.
